Fifty-seven high school graduates who obtained an average grade “10” in the national Baccalaureate exams were awarded by the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu and Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun. The head of state noted the impressive performance of these young people and wished them to remain as dedicated, honest, insistent in fulfilling their dreams, IPN reports.
“Only grades of “10” is an extraordinary result and I want to congratulate you on this result. I want to congratulate all the graduates who honestly passed the Baccalaureate exams and, of course, I want to congratulate the teachers and also your parents who, not only helped and supported you, but probably also had more jitters than you during these exams,” said President Sandu, addressing the graduates.
The official expressed her hope that young people learned that any result involves a lot of work and, in order to become successful, one should understand that all the things are done through honest work, personal effort and teamwork. Those who will study abroad and those who will choose to study in Moldova ca contribute to the development of the common project called European Moldova.
Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun said that these graduates are extraordinary examples for the entire national education system. “I imagine that it was not easy to achieve this result and it would not have been possible without a lot of support from teachers and without a lot of support from parents, and your hard work. This is a good example of cooperation between the three key elements for the educational process to work: school, student, parent,” stated the minister.
After the basic session and the examination of appeals, the Baccalaureate exam pass rate stands at 69.68% or 12,580 graduates.
