Another 100,000 COVID-19 test kits supplied to health authorities

A number of 100,000 test kits for detecting SARS-Cov-2 were bought and supplied to the National Public Health Agency in the framework of the World Bank-funded “Moldova Emergency COVID-19 Response Project”. There were also purchased consumables, reagents and devices for ensuring laboratory diagnostic tests, including four cars for transporting tests from the Agency’s laboratories, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health.

The national health system was also supplied with 42 electrocardiographs, 700 syringe pumps, 400 monitors for patients, 150 pulse oximeters, 400 oxygen concentrators, 194 intensive care beds, 22 ventilators, 180,000 protective suits and 100,000 protective medical gowns.

The bought protective equipment and medical devices were distributed to national laboratories and public health facilities. In the immediate period, there will also be purchased another 250 ventilators, 31 mobile radiography units, 8 intensive care ambulances, 700 syringe pumps, 200 intensive care beds and 50,000 protective suits.
