By 120,000 lei for every member of Tutun-CTC Administration Board
The tobacco company Tutun-CTC will pay by 120,000 lei in recompense to every member of the Administration Board. The total amount will be 600,000 lei and represents 4.5% of the net profit made in 2010. The proposal was submitted by the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, which controls the company, and was accepted in the May 19 general assembly of shareholders, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Also, the over 1,000 employees of the company will receive allowances of up to 1,000 lei. They will total over 1 million lei, which is 7.5% of the company’s profit. The shareholders will be paid dividends of 6.7 million lei or 50% of the net profit for 2010. Almost 4.6 million lei was transferred to the reserve and development funds.
The profit made in 2009 went exclusively on the company’s development. The members of the Administration Board represent the state. The Board includes a representative of the Ministry of Economy, a representative of the Ministry of Finance, and three representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
The last two ministries are in charge of the Liberal Democratic Party. The decision regarding the payment of recompenses was adopted despite Prime Minister Vlad Filat’s repeated requests to reduce the pays for managers of state-run companies.
In 2010, S.A. Tutun-CTC made a net profit of 13,384,241 lei. The company owns 5,591,020 voting shares. The state, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, has a controlling interest in the company.
