Twenty houses in Cotiujenii Mari village of Soldanesti district remained without roofs as a result of the rain that fell in the evening of August 24. The high winds removed about 100 slates there, IPN reports.

According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, two grain storehouses and a mill in the village also remained without roofs. The wind damaged over 100 square meters of metal tiles. The other damage caused by the heavy rain is yet to be assessed by the local commissions for emergencies.

Eight settlements of Anenii Noi, Causeni, Hancesti, Ialoveni, Orhei and Stefan Voda districts were partially disconnected from the power supply.
