Lawyer Dumitru Cucu, representing Diana Noroc, former head of the Municipal Hospital no. 4, accused local authorities of planning to destroy the institution in order to take over the parcel of land belonging to the hospital.

Dumitru Cucu told a press conference at IPN that Mihai Moldovanu, head of the health division, exceeded his authority when he sacked Diana Noroc, as this competence belongs to the Municipal Council.

According to the laywer, the authorities want to destroy the hospital after the Chisinau Municipal Council decided to reorganize it. He suggests that some of the authorities want to take over this parcel of land, which is very expensive as it is in the center of the city. The initiative comes from the head of the Communists' group, which, the lawyer claims, is in cahoots with Mihai Moldovanu.

Diana Noroc told the press conference that she contested in court all the decisions by which Mihai Moldovanu sacked her and appointed as head of the hospital a former employee with large debts to the institution.

Dumitru Cucu and his client, Diana Noroc, say that the law-enforcement bodies must take note and act in this case.
