Milsami-Ursidos and CSCA-Rapid to play in Moldova Cup final
Milsami-Ursidos Orhei and CSCA-Rapid Ghidighici will dispute this year the Moldova Cup, both qualifying for the first time to the final after surprisingly eliminating the favorites Dacia Chisinau and Sheriff Tiraspol, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Milsami-Ursidos pulled off an incredible 5-4 victory over champions Dacia, thanks to braces by Romanian forwarder Adrian Grigoruta and Chilean midfielder Fernando Espinosa, with Denis Rassulov also finding the target.
CSCA-Rapid, which, remarkably, face relegation in Divizia Nationala, also scored a historic win over Sheriff, beating them 4-2 in the shoot-out that Rapid earned by equalizing Miral Samardzic's early goal, just minutes before the final whistle.
Thus, on May 27 in Orhei, Milsami-Ursidos and CSCA-Rapid will fight not just for the most important trophy in their history, but also for a place in Europa League.
So far, Sheriff won most Moldova Cups: 7 in number.
