One hundred persons will leave for Istanbul tomorrow aboard “Princess Elena” ship
One hundred people will set off for Istanbul aboard “Princess Elena” ship along the new maritime route Giurgiulesti– Istanbul–Giurgiulesti on March 17.
Leonid Munteanu, consultant in naval transport at the Transport Agency, has told Info-Prim Neo that the tickets for the first route were booked through the agency of the state-owned company “Portul Fluvial Ungheni” – the operator of the Giurgiulesti Passenger Port.
“There is no well-established reservation system yet. Talks are being held over the methods of selling tickets,” Munteanu said. He also said that the tickets cost 200 euros. The price includes the voyage to and from, meals three times a day and accommodation on the board while the ship will be in Istanbul. The passengers can transport 60 kg in hand baggage free of charge.
“Most of the persons that made reservations are from Chisinau. A part of them will travel for business, while the others for pleasure,” the consultant said.
The ship has a capacity of 145 places. The trip lasts for 32 hours. In Istanbul, the ship will stop for 2 days. The passengers can choose cabins for two persons, three persons (family), four persons and luxury cabins. Princess Elena will leave for Istanbul tomorrow in the afternoon and will return on Sunday.
