The "Mihai Eminescu" Theoretical High School in Comrat, the only Romanian-language high school in the city, has a new study block. Investments in it amounted to almost 24 million lei. Part of the work was financed by the Romanian government, IPN reports.

The high school is attended by 600 students. It is not only a remarkable institution for the region, but also an important landmark for the Moldovan education system. With a 100% pass rate in the baccalaureate, multiple awards at national olympiads and extracurricular competitions, this high school is a true symbol of educational excellence, said Valentina Olaru, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Research, at the launch event.

Between 2020-2023, 8.6 million lei have been allocated from the state budget for the construction of the new block. In addition, the Romanian Government has provided a grant of 15 million lei through the technical and financial assistance program for pre-school institutions in the Republic of Moldova.
