Over 100 movies to be screened within Very Short Film Festival
More than 100 pictures will be shown as part of the 13th Very Short International Film Festival that is taking place throughout the world during May 6-8. In Chisinau, the movies that last maximum three minutes each will be screened at the Gaudeamus Cultural Center on May 8.
Diana Dumitru, who is responsible for cultural programs at the French Alliance in Moldova, stated for Info-Prim Neo that the movies were made both by professionals and talented beginners.
The festival has four divisions. The first – Family Division- will last for 45 minutes. The second – International Division – includes 46 movies of different genres produced in 17 countries. The Romanian Division contains 20 movies made by young Romanian producers. They were selected out of hundreds of short films sent from all over Romania. The last division - Paroles de Femmes - was included at the suggestion of the organizers of the festival in Montpellier, with the support of the town and the Regional Women's Rights and Equality Delegations Languedoc-Roussillon.
