School libraries during the current school year will be complemented with 41 titles of new textbooks, with a total circulation of over 1 million copies, IPN reports.

“It is an objective achieved by the Ministry of Education and Research, which set the goal of fully providing all schools with new textbooks by 2025,” said Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun.

The Ministry of Education in 2024 launched a new purchase of textbooks for 67 titles, of which 27 with translations. Publishing houses submitted bids for 46 of them. Following assessment and editing, 39 were approved for printing, while two textbook titles are in the process of being approved.

Another 17 new textbook titles are being prepared. They are to be assessed and approved by the end of 2024.

All textbooks are also accessible in electronic format.
