The individuals detained in connection with the abduction of a man from the left bank of the Nistru in Chisinau have been placed under house arrest for 30 days. The information was confirmed by the General Prosecutor's Office.

"The court has ordered the application of the preventive measure – house arrest. The case prosecutor has appealed the decision," stated the General Prosecutor's Office.

A criminal investigation has been initiated for the offense of kidnapping.

The man, who was abducted by Transnistrian militia on February 6, was allegedly involved in a robbery in the Transnistrian region. The Promo-LEX Association condemns the case and reiterates that such actions constitute serious violations of fundamental human rights. The association believes that this situation was made possible due to the lack of a firm response and prompt investigation of similar past incidents.
