The Embassy of Moldova in Austria warns the Moldovan citizens, who are in, transit or plan to travel to Austria or Slovakia, that temporary travel restrictions were introduced at the borders by the Austrian authorities in a bid to contain the spread of foot-and-mouth disease, IPN reports.
By May 20, the border crossing points between Austria and Slovakia - Angern-March – Záhorská Ves and Schloss Hof – Devínska Nová Ves – and between Austria and Hungary - the Andau – Jánossomorja, Andau – Kapuvár (access to the Andau Bridge), and Baumgarten – Sopron - will be closed, the Embassy informed.
By May 7, the Záhorská Ves – Angern border crossing point between Slovakia and Austria will be inaccessible.
Between Slovakia and Hungary, a number of border crossing points will be closed, namely: Čunovo – Rajka, Radvaň nad Dunajom – Neszmély, Chľaba – Ipolydamásd, and Salka – Letkés, Ipeľské Predmostie – Drégelypalánk.

"If you intend to travel in the next period, make sure that the route does not include these posts. Otherwise, you risk being redirected or getting stuck in traffic," warned the Embassy.
