Two Moldovans, Greek man arrested for trafficking Moldovan women to Greece

The police arrested two Moldovans and a Greek citizen on suspicion that they organized an international network for recruiting young women from Moldova to prostitute themselves in Greece, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the group recruited young women from socially deprived families and took them to nightclubs in Greece, where they were sexually exploited. The police had kept track of the group for over a year. The suspects transported the young women using forged documents. They obtained Schengen visas for them at the consulate of Greece in Kiev. It was established that the organization consisted of a number of cells whose members didn’t know about the existence of the others. The Center for Combating Trafficking in Persons warns everyone, especially the young women, not to believe suspect promises made by foreigners as they can endanger their lives and health.
