Corina Fusu: Dodon wants Liberals out of Alliance

“The fact that Dodon is always saying that he wants a reformed ruling alliance demonstrates that he seeks an alliance that excludes the Liberal Party, which he finds inconvenient”, Liberal Party vice-president Corina Fusu told Info-Prim Neo. The Liberals do not rule out the possibility that Dodon might be a subversive project devised by the Communists. “The insistence with which he fields Zinaida Greceanyi for president makes us suspicious”, explained Corina Fusu. She added that Vlad Filat's attitude suggested that his Liberal-Democratic Party would be inclined to endorse Greceanyi's nomination, “especially considering that the three met in Brussels”. Fusu recalled that the Liberals have proposed many solutions to overcome the political deadlock, like adopting a new constitution or amending it through a referendum. Earlier on Tuesday, Lib-Dem leader Vlad Filat told a news conference that the risk of snap elections was becoming imminent because of the “irresponsible attitude” shown by Liberal Mihai Ghimpu, who was thwarting negotiations with Igor Dodon's group with his “hysterical fits”.
