The Secretary of State of the Department for Romanians Everywhere of the Government of Romania Eugen Tomac announced that he leaves the post. In a news conference in Chisinau on Friday, he said that his party is now in the opposition and he will follow the same path as his party, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Even if I’m no longer Secretary of State, I will remain close to the Romanians from Moldova and will try to contribute to what is natural and necessary for the Romanians living on the two banks of the Prut to know each other better. I think it’s time to leave aside elements that often disseminate disappointment and irresponsibility and to think about projects that bring us closer with lucidity,” said Eugen Tomac.
Eugen Tomac was named Secretary of State of the Department for Romanians Everywhere in January 2009.
