MP Iurie Leanca said the European People’s Party of Moldova (PPEM) that he heads was recently registered by the Ministry of Justice and this will struggle to free Moldova from captivity, IPN reports.
“Recently, the Ministry of Justice registered the PPEM. We succeeded because we enjoyed the people’s support and because the initiative group did huge work and perfectly prepared the necessary documents. We are now to strengthen the party and to extend it to all the districts. We will center on the quality of the members and sympathizers, not on their number,” Iurie Leanca told a news conference.
The politician added that the people who are behind the PPEM want to free Moldova from captivity and to see the thieves in jail. The crisis faced by the country derived from internal factors. “Everything is due to the cynicism of the political class. The parties degenerated into Ltds that are influenced by the evil interests of their leaders. Those who captured the state do not intend to release it and to give up stealing. For our dream to escape from captivity to come true the people must join together in new, principled political parties and the PPEM is one of such parties. We strongly believe that there are upright people in Moldova, who do not want to be corrupt and to be managed by the current administration,” he stated.
The initiative group for the creation of the PPEM was set up at the beginning of this year, when MP Iurie Leanca left the Liberal Democratic Party. Later, this was joined by MP Eugen Carpov, who left the same party. This summer, MP Nicolae Juravschi defected from the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group to the PPEM. Thus, the European People’s Party of Moldova has three representatives in Parliament.
