Speaker Marian Lupu has described the Government Program as complex and containing many important objectives. “This is a four-year government and obviously we will need to work together to fulfill it during the current mandate”, stated Marian Lupu after the Parliament's approval of the Government on Friday.
Marian Lupu announced that the extraordinary session of Parliament ended with the Friday's meeting and that the ordinary sittings would start, according to the legislation, in the first week of February.
Until then, a review will be done of the legislative proposals that need to be assigned priority. They will relate in particular to the taxation framework, fiscal policy and the Budget Act. The parliamentary commissions will continue working in the period between the sessions, and so will the Standing Bureau of Parliament.
On Friday, January 14, the parliamentary majority gave its formal endorsement to the second Filat Cabinet, approving the latter's four-year program.
