Marian Lupu gets to Bucharest
Moldova’s Acting President Marian Lupu has arrived at the International Airport “Henri Coanda” in Bucharest this morning. He was met by the Ambassador of Moldova to Romania Iurie Renita and Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca, Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in Bucharest reports.
After breakfast, the Moldovan official will go to the Cotroceni Palace accompanied by the Romanian Mission of Honor. At about 10.00, Marian Lupu will have a private discussion with Romania’s President Traian Basescu.
The program of the visit includes meetings with chairman of the Senate Mircea Geoana, chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Roberta Anastase, Prime Minister Emil Boc and leaders of the parliamentary groups. Marian Lupu will also meet with Romanian businessmen - potential investors, through the agency of the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Romania.
This is the first official visit to Romania paid by Marian Lupu as Acting President. The visit is made at the invitation of Traian Basescu and will last until April 29.
The Moldovan delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Valeriu Lazar, Minister of Regional Development Marcel Raducanu, Minister of the Environment Gheorghe Salaru, president of the Academy of Sciences Gheorghe Duca, and chairman of the parliamentary commission on foreign affairs and European integration Igor Corman.
