Moldova and Bulgaria will cooperate in the field of European integration. The Foreign Ministers of the two countries - Iurie Leanca and Nickolay Mladenov – Thursday signed a Joint Statement in this respect in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Iurie Leanca said this partnership will enable Moldova to develop a better dialogue on the European integration process and to learn from Bulgaria’s experience in a number of important areas. Under the signed agreement, Bulgaria will actively support Moldova in Brussels, in the context of the relations between Moldova and the EU.
According to Nickolay Mladenov, Moldova’s future is in the EU. This future does not have an alternative and the full integration will enable to promote the Moldovan businesses on the European economic market.
“Recently, a number of European states, including Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria, sent a letter to the EU, saying Moldova should pass to the next visa liberalization stage and should open the talks on the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area,” said the Bulgarian official.
Nickolay Mladenov is in Moldova on a two-day official visit. This is the first visit paid by a Bulgarian diplomat over the last seven years.
