Ninth graders for whom Romanian is not mother tongue take first exam
About 8,000 ninth graders for whom Romanian is not the first language sat the first exam of the 2012 summer session, in the Romanian language and literature, on June 4. On June 5, the twelfth graders speaking other languages than Romanian will take the first Baccalaureate exam, also in the Romanian language and literature, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Adrian Ghicov, director of the Assessment and Examination Agency, said the exam session will cover about 39,800 ninth graders and 29,800 twelfth graders, including from colleagues and universities. The Baccalaureate exams will be taken at 159 examination centers.
On June 7, the ninth graders will sit the math exam, while on June 8 the twelfth graders will take the exam in the language of study. The papers will be graded according to common standards.
On June 11, the ninth graders will take the exam in the language of study, while on June 14 – the history exam.
The Baccalaureate candidates will sit the exam in the foreign language on June 12, the exam in one of the exact sciences or humanities on June 15, the exam of their choice on June 19, and the exam in the mother tongue (Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Gagauz) on June 22.
The papers will be graded during June 7-28, while the results will be posted at the Baccalaureate centers on June 29.
