Parliament should convene Government to discuss Transnistrian issue, MP

Unaffiliated lawmaker Mihai Godea suggested holding a closed-door parliamentary sitting in order to examine the Transnistrian issue, Info-Prim Neo reports. “There are a number of matters concerning Transnistria. I propose holding a closed-door sitting to discuss the so-called presidential elections and the events in Transnistria,” Mihai Godea said in Thursday’s sitting. According to the MP, it is time that Parliament convened the Government and other decision makers to discuss the Transnistrian issue. Head of Parliament Marian Lupu said the proposal will be examined by the Parliament’s Standing Bureau and the Government will be informed to attend the legislature’s sitting.
