Teodor Baconschi to visit Moldova
Romania’s Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi will pay an official visit to Moldova at the invitation of his Moldovan counterpart Iurie Leanca. On May 26, the Romanian official will take part in the inauguration of the consular office of Romania in Ungehni, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Moldovan Foreign Ministry.
Teodor Baconschi will be in Moldova for two days. He will have meetings with Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov and with the leaders of the parties that formed the Alliance for European Integration.
The discussions with Iurie Leanca will center on crossborder projects, Moldova’s European integration efforts and the cooperation with Romania in this respect.
On May 27, the foreign ministers of the two countries will particulate in the opening of the Civic Forum – a yearly event that brings together representatives of the civil society of Moldova and Romania. Themed “Together for 20 Years”, the forum will focus on the European integration, joint projects of civil society, programs for youth and crossborder projects.
