Vitalie Nagacevschi: Truth about April 7, 2009 events will come out, even is effort is made to hide it

Former lawmaker Vitalie Nagacevschi, who chaired the commission for elucidating the April 7, 2009 events, is confident that the truth about those events will come out sooner or later, even if effort is made to hide it. Vitalie Nagacevschi has told Info-Prim Neo that none of the three institutions that were obliged by Parliament Decision to report on the results achieved in the investigation of the April 7, 2009 events – the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Security and Information Service – rendered reports. According to the ex-MP, there are several versions of what happened two years ago. A supposition is that there was staged a peaceful protest that degenerated into violence by accident. Another assumption is that it was a spontaneous protest that degenerated into rioting in an organized way. The third version is that the peaceful protest and the subsequent violence had been planned. Those events could have been organized by secret services, by the Communist administration or other forces, said the MP. Vitalie Nagacevschi stressed that political will is needed to complete the investigations into the April 7, 2009 protests.
