Voters in northern Moldova were most active
The highest voter turnout was recoded in the northern districts of the country, while the lowest turnout – in the municipality of Balti, show the partial results announced by the central electoral authority, Info-Prim Neo reports
The turnout in Basarabeasca district was 65.5%, in Donduseni – 64.7%, in Ocnita – 61.64%, in Telenesti – 59.33%, while in Nisporeni – 59.52%.
In Balti, the voter turnout was 42.36%, in Anenii Noi – 49.34%, in Leova -50.86%, in Causeni – 50.92%, while in Cahul – 50.92%.
As many as 283,000 voters or 56% of the persons eligible to vote cast their ballots in Chisinau.
