In a press briefing, Chisinau District Electoral Council deputy head Ina Babin made reference to the reports about absentee ballots. They said that 17 applications to be allowed to vote at the place of stay were submitted to polling place No. 229, but this is not true, according to Ina Babin. According to the register, the applications were filed on May 30 and 31. They also reported that 23 such applications were presented at polling place No. 220, but 16 of them were rejected as improper as they were submitted by a an authorized person. Consequently, the members of the electoral bureau will not take the mobile ballot box to the 16 indicated addresses.
