Over a hundred young people from a number of districts participated in the "Model European Union Moldova" project. The participants discussed with President Maia Sandu the civic participation of young people, Moldova's accession to the EU and the importance of combating disinformation, IPN reports.

The young people had the opportunity to ask the head of state questions about reforms in education, jobs, protection of democracy and the European integration of Moldova.

The "Model European Union" is an initiative to simulate the decision-making process in the most important European institutions, said the President’s Office.

The initiative is at its second edition and is organized with the financial support of the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, within the "EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment” project.
