12% of the places provided at vocational schools for the 2016-2017 academic year haven’t been filled. Thus, after the two stages of the contest to fill the available places, 1,158 places of the 9,455 remained unoccupied, IPN reports.

Of the 42 vocational schools and four centers of excellence, 14 filled all the available places. The lowest admission rates were witnessed in regions, especially at the Vocational School of Cuhurestii de Sus and the Vocational School of Cimislia.

The places at almost all the new specialties introduced this year at the request of business entries were fully filled. Among them are heating and aeration installer, solar equipment installer, electric fitter for guard and fire alarm systems and print digital and offset typographer.
