Eighteen settlements in seven districts have been partially disconnected from the supply of electricity following the heavy storm and high winds of last night. Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Diana Turcan has told IPN that most of the villages that experience power outages are from Stefan Voda and Causeni districts.

The power supply is partially off in Copaceni, Pepeni and Grigorauca villages of Sangerei district, Solonet village of Soroca district, Floresti town, Delacau village of Anenii Noi district, Homuteanovca village of Ialoveni district, Crocmaz, Palanca, Olanesti, Cioburci, Rascaetii Noi, and Caplani villages of Stefan Voda district, Farladeni, Carnateni, Tanatari, Hagimus, and Ursoaia villages of Causeni district.

Specialized teams are working to restore the supply of electricity. No other consequences of last night’s strong winds and storm were reported.
