A minibus running on route No. 160 in Chisinau struck fatally a 20-year-old girl from Dubasari district on Monday evening. The accident happened at the intersection of the streets Columna and Tighina, not far from the Central Market. Aurelia Mija, PR inspector of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the circumstances of the accident are not yet known. Passengers who were in the minibus said the driver aged 46 did not break the traffic rules. The young woman died on the spot. The case is being investigated by the Prosecution Division of the General Police Commissariat. The same day, a pedestrian aged 59 from Drochia town was hit by a VAZ car driven by a 36-year-old man. He died as a result of his injuries.
