The Gagauzia Prosecutor's Office is accusing the manager of a private company of illegally selling more than 3 million lei worth of wheat after in 2011 the Gagauz authorities entrusted him with keeping over 1,000 tonnes of food-grade wheat from the autonomy's stocks. The General Prosecutor's Office said in a press release that the manager has been charged with embezzlement in particularly large proportions and has been placed under preliminary arrest for 30 days. Further investigation is conducted to establish all the circumstances of the case.
