600 drivers used free-to-go permits to elude traffic stops
The Ministry of the Interior has seized 600 special permits which upon presentation enabled their holders to be free to go when being pulled over by traffic officers.
Speaking at the Government's meeting on Wednesday, Interior Minister Dorin Recean said that the Ministry did issue such permits to facilitate the free passage of police on urgent missions, but officially only 200 such licenses were given out.
Recean stated that all the seized permits were canceled.
In this context, Prime Minister Vlad Filat praised the Ministry's invigorated efforts to combat crime, ensure public order and traffic safety.
