The body of an 81-year-old man from Cornesti village of Ungheni district was found dead Tuesday in his house destroyed by fire. The investigators do not rule out that the fire was started by the man himself. Earlier, he set things on fire in the middle of the house, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting chief district police officer Oleg Iurie. The old man lived with a daughter of his and a granddaughter. When the tragedy struck, the two women weren’t at home. The man wasn’t under psychiatric supervision, but had an inappropriate behavior as the neighbors said. His wife died four years ago and he was in the care of his children. According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the same day a 46-year-old man died in a fire in Musaitu village of Taraclia district. The fire was caused by a smoldering cigarette.
