The dwellers will be able to enter the dorms of general and technical professional education institutions by 11pm, said Minister of Education Corina Fusu, commenting for the press on a decision approved by the Cabinet. She noted that the decision concerning access to university dorms will be taken by the senates of the higher education establishments.
“Given that the representatives of students make up 25% of the senates, these are an important voice in taking this and other decisions,” stated the minister.
Corina Fusu referred also to another decision approved by the Cabinet. This envisions the modification of the formula for calculating the student housing rates. “I cannot say how much those who live in dorms will pay, but the calculation formula will include the payment for electricity, water and heat for each room and for other services. The meter readings will also be taken into account where there are meters,” said the minister.
