A minibus transporting passengers on the Ciadar-Lunga – Chisinau route was struck head-on by a car that moved to the contraflow lane in the afternoon of June 16. The driver of the car, who allegedly fell asleep, and one of the passengers of the minibus didn’t survive the impact.

Press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Alina Bunghez has told IPN that both of the vehicles ended up in a roadside ditch.

The minibus driver and the other passengers were taken to the hospital with different injuries.
