Administrator of Chisinau minibus routes launches book

The administrator of a number of minibus routes Nicolae Seredneac launched a book entitled “With the eye of a microbe” where he speaks about the culture of passengers and private carriers. The book also describes the taxes paid by the administrators of minibus routes and the schemes for distributing the so-called master’s money.

In a news conference at IPN, Nicolae Seredneac said that owing to manipulating issues disseminated by the media, the private carriers are regarded by the passengers as wrongdoers who aim to obtain revenues only. The reality is yet different. Honorable persons work on the municipal minibus routes.

“Most of the drivers daily wake up at 4am and go to work. There are cases when the drivers are ill-treated by passengers and none of the travelers comes to their assistance. Surely there are also motorists who speed, speak on the phone and smoke while driving,” said Nicolae Seredneac.

The author added that the motorists who have an inappropriate behavior should be punished, but it’s not right to treat all the minibus drivers with distrust.

The book also contains citations from the folklore of the private carriers, pictures of the public units of transport of a number of states and a comparison of the fares in Moldova and in other countries. The volume was issued in 1,000 copies and is available from the termini for 50 lei.
