The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family presented the state-ordered plan for training specialists. Under it, over 11,000 students will be admitted to secondary technical vocational education, while almost 18,000 to higher education of the first level (bachelor’s degree) for the 2015-2016 academic year, IPN reports.
Of the over 11,000 persons that will be enrolled in technical vocational education, more than 9,700 will study on a budget-funded place, while about 1,300 – on a contract basis. There will be trained specialists in 25 new jobs, in agriculture, construction sector, food industry, transport and telecommunications. Almost 10,000 persons will be admitted to post-secondary technical vocational education (colleges). Half of these will study on a budget-funded place, while the rest on a contract basis.
Of those who will be admitted to higher education of the first level, 6,072 persons will study on a budget-funded place, while 11,902 on a contract basis. A new specialty was instituted at the suggestion of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry - safety of agri-food products, to train specialists in inspecting and determining the quality of food products in accordance with the European norms.
Almost 8,000 persons will be admitted to master’s degree studies (second level), while 485 – to resident studies.
As the previous years, 325 foreigners will be admitted to higher education of the first and second levels, while 30 foreigners will be involved in academic mobility programs, in accordance with the international agreements.
