Admission starts July 16

Those who want to enroll at colleges and vocational schools can do it starting with July 16. The candidates can apply at several specialties in different areas simultaneously, at one or several education institutions, but can be admitted to only one specialty, at one education establishment, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Education, this year the colleges will enroll 9,065 students, 4,309 of whom will benefit from a budget-funded place. Of the total number of places, 735 were allocated for private institutions. Most of the places were earmarked for general medicine, road transport, information science, and bookkeeping.

Admission to colleges will end on August 8, while the results will be posted on August 10. A new contest to fill the vacant places will be held on August 11-13, while the results will be made public on August 15.

A number of 11,000 students will be admitted to vocational schools, 9,701 of which are budget-funded. Most of the places were allocated for such specialties as building, cooking and engineering. Twenty-five new jobs were included in the admission plan of vocational schools, in agriculture, transport, industry, and service sectors.

The students who didn’t graduate from the secondary school, but turned 16 can take part in the admission contest at vocational schools and will be admitted to specialties teaching a profession during two years, based on a certificate issued by the general education institution where these studied.

Admission to vocational schools will end on August 14, while the results will be announced on August 16. The contest will be rerun on August 17-20, while the final results will be posted before August 25.
