Aid for flood-hit victims: better later than never
About 230,000 lei will be allocated from the Government’s reserve fund to the Ungheni District Council, which will use the money to offer one-time payments in aid for 14 families from Macaresti village who suffered as a result of the natural disasters in the summer of 2010. The decision was adopted during the Government’s meeting on Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Previously, based on the assessments of the work group for fighting the consequences of floods, the Ungheni District Council received 912,000 lei to pay compensations to the families whose houses had been destroyed. However, the money covered only 80% of the damages and the unhappy people petitioned the State Chancellery. The additional allotment of 230,000 lei will cover the damages entirely.
