Vulnerable people of advanced age will received material aid on the occasion of the International Day of Older Person on October 1. The groups of beneficiaries and the size of the aid have been established by each of the 35 local social support funds.

In Chisinau, lump-sum amounts of 500 lei will be given to 1,800 people aged 75 or older who receive pensions of up to 1,300 lei and haven’t received any previous aid during this year.

The beneficiaries residing in Chisinau will be able to get the money at any Moldinconbank branch, and those residing outside the capital at the relevant postal office, upon producing their ID card. The money will be available from Friday afternoon.

Over 7 million lei were allocated from the National Social Support Fund for this purpose.
