Another quake above 4 degrees
An earthquake measuring 4.3 degrees on the Richter scale occurred this morning in the Romanian region of Vrancea and it was also felt in Moldova. This is the sixth quake this month and also the sixth above 4 degrees in the last six months.
The tremor occurred at around 05:20 at a depth of 110 kilometers and 224 kilometers
SW of Chisinau.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Seismology Center director Ion Ilies says it is early to tell whether a continuity of tremors exists, considering that it's nothing uncommon if, for example, as many as 16 minor quakes occur in one month.
In Moldova the tremor was barely felt, measuring between 2 and 3 degrees on the 12-degree MSK scale.
