Anticorruption center reports BAC bribes
From Friday to Monday, the Anticorruption Center (CCCEC) registered six infringements at the baccalaureate (BAC) exams, when money was collected for help during the exam. CCCEC spokeswoman Angela Starinschi told Info-Prim Neo that four of the cases happened in the northern region of Moldova, including the city of Balti, where collected sums varied between €50 and €200.
“We’re still examining the received information. We’re trying to find a person who’d witness as a victim, willing to collaborate and confirm in written form that he or she was requested money for help during the BAC exam. We need this to start prosecution. Reporting the crime post factum doesn’t help a lot, as it’s hard to document and catch in the act or to prove that the money was bribe for the exam”, Angela Starinschi explained.
The CCCEC spokeswoman mentioned that the Center received calls from Donduseni and Bucovat informing that some persons had solved the test instead of the students. The information is being verified.
On Monday, June 13, lyceum graduates took the fourth and last BAC examination in a subject at choice.
