The Chisinau water supplier is completing the works to prepare the water supply and sewerage system for the 2013-2014 heating season. 95% of the drinking water reservoirs have been cleaned. In parallel, employees of SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, together with employees of the Public Amenities Division, are inventorying the apartment meters, IPN reports.

SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” director Constantin Becciev Monday said the planned maintenance works on water pipes were carried out according to schedule. Three planned measures have been performed and two more measures will be initiated when the temperatures go down.

“The works on the section between Muncesti St and Dacia Blvd will last until the end of September. The works planned in Buiucani district will be executed in concert with the Constructions Division so as to put branch pipe No.2 in this district into operation. The water pumping station and water pipes there will be rehabilitated,” stated Constantin Becciev.
