The Chisinau water utility announced that 29 km of water pipes will be rehabilitated this year. Almost 30 million lei will be invested for the purpose. There will be also repaired over 2.5 km of sewer pipes. The works will cost an estimated 2.5 million lei, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, works to renovate the water supply and sewerage system will be performed on Alexandru Diordita St and Stefan cel Mare Blvd. as well as on three streets from two suburban settlements. Before the start of the cold season, there will be cleaned the artesian wells and replaced 300 hydrants. The water pipe from Padurii St of Sangera commune will be replaced on a length of 0.5 km.

Over 30 million lei allocated from the municipal fund will be used to execute different works on 36 streets. This year, there will be laid a sewer pipe on Drumul Viilor St and built a pumping station in Vaduleni. The new residential sector in this village is to be supplied with water and sewerage services.
