The students of block C of the Chisinau-based Academy of Economic Studies (ASEM) were evacuated from the building on the afternoon of September 13 after a smoking cartridge was thrown into the garbage bin of a third-floor hall, Info-Prim Neo reports Dorina Sochirca, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the students were going to the fourth lecture when they found a hall located on the third floor full of smoke. The smoke soon spread all over the six-story building. Employees of the Service traveled to the scene and found a hand-made smoking cartridge. It is not yet known who threw the cartridge into the bin. All the students were evacuated. The lecturers were suspended.
