BCC selects two candidates for Supervisory Board member
The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) has chosen two of the five candidates competing for the post of member of the Supervisory Board of Teleradio-Moldova Company. These are Alexandru Popovici and Petru Grozavu. The two candidates will be proposed to the relevant parliamentary commission, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Alexandru Popovici is 24. During over five years, he worked for Radio Noroc, Radio Nova and Fresh FM. He graduated from the State University of Moldova, the Faculty of International Relations and Political Sciences. In the BCC’s meeting, he pledged to contribute to an improved work of Teleradio-Moldova. Petru Grozavu said he will take steps to modernize the national public broadcaster. He worked for 14 years on the radio and television, then in the print media.
The Council’s members said it was a hard choice. Alexandru Popovici was selected by five votes, while Petru Grozavu was chosen in the second round, which also involved Angela Muntean-Pojoga, who worked in the broadcasting sector in Moldova and abroad. Among the contenders were also jurist Ruslan Berzoi and actor Alexandru Leanca.
The Parliament’s commission will choose one of the two candidates. The legislative body will then confirm the winning candidate to the post.
