Bucharest will gift Chisinau a park

Bucharest Mayor Sorin Oprescu traveled to Moldova to start the building of a park in Chisinau. “I came with a team of experts in the field to choose a place and start the construction. I want to offer the people of Chisinau this gift from Bucharest as a token of friendship between the two cities”, said the Mayor during his meeting with Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Government. Sorin Oprescu expressed his appreciation for young Moldovans who study in Bucharest. He said that the Moldovan students and pupils have good academic results and get prizes from the Bucharest City Hall, such as free holidays at the mountains or at the sea. The two officials had a vast discussion about the largest projects initiated in the two countries. Vlad Filat said by the end of 2014 all the national roads in Moldova would be rebuilt and afterwards the regional ones would be repaired as well. The main priorities for the near future are the finalization of negotiations on the Association Agreement with the European Union and obtaining the liberalized visa regime.
