Car hits pedestrian near Ministry of Agriculture
A woman of about 60 years of age was badly hit by a car today, August 14, outside the Ministry of Agriculture building. Witnesses say that the driver braked, but failed to stop in time for avoiding the hit, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The woman suffered a brain concussion, fracture of the left arm and 3rd degree traumatic shock, i.e. the gravest kind of shock. The 27-year-old driver was being interrogated by the police when the Info-Prim Neo reporter arrived. The victim was taken by the ambulance to the hospital. Another woman, according to an officer, a relative of the victim, was being offered medical assistance at the scene.
The car involved in the accident had its windshield broken and the front bumper crushed. There were pieces of steel and metal on the road. The traffic was hampered for only several minutes.
