“Carmen”, one of the most famous and popular operas in the world, will be performed at the National Opera House in Chisinau on January 20, Info-Prim Neo reports. Carmen is a beautiful Romani woman. Jose Navarro falls in love with her and this love makes him become a bandit and then to kill. The love stories never disappear especially when they involve a beautiful woman. The sufferings caused by Carmen, the tragedy experienced by the poor Don Jose, the romantic scenes under Georges Bizet's music continue to conquer the musical world, the National Opera House says in a communique. Nicolae Busuioc plays the role of Don Jose, Zarui Vardanean – of Carmen, Valeriu Caradja – of Escamillo, Irina Vinogradov – of Micaela, Anatol Arcea - of Dancairo, while Maria Tsonin – of Frasquita. The symphonic orchestra is conducted by Master of Art Nicolae Dohotaru. The performance starts at 18.00.
