Cash registers appear in some buses

Several route administrators have installed cash registers in their inter-urban buses. Passengers pay the ticket fee and, instead of a regular ticket they get a receipt. Sergiu Rapcea, one of the economic agents who installed cash registers in several of his buses on the Anenii Noi-Chisinau route, told Info-Prim Neo that he took the decision when the fiscal inspections that check the ticket per passenger count, became more often. The businessman claims that he’d rather invest than pay the fine. He paid 1450 lei per cash register. “Everyone wants money from the State, but no one wants to give anything. Now, when the buses have cash registers, I’m sure that 98-99% of the income is accounted for”, mentioned Sergiu Rapcea. People who board the bus at the central station are obligated to buy a ticket, but there are several villages on the route Chisinau – Anenii Noi, where the bus picks people up. The registers have a code memorized for each location. When the passenger boards, the cashier inputs the code and gives the passenger a receipt. According to Sergiu Rapcea, along with the installment of the registers grew the income. Rapcea talked to several other route administrators, and they also intend to install cash registers in their transport units. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, head of Main State Tax Inspectorate Nicolae Platon stated that every transport administrator sets the management of their activity individually. What matters is to abide by the Law and to report income accurately.
