The Chisinau International Airport has a new abbreviation as of today, January 18. The RMO sign will now appear on the flights board, IPN reports.

 “If there are any ambiguities associated with this change in the process of booking a plane ticket, we urge you to contact the respective airline,” said the Airport’s administration.

Until now, the Chisinau International Airport had the KIV abbreviation that, according to the authorities, is an abbreviation from the Russian name Kishinev.

The new abbreviation of the Chisinau International Airport, RMO, comes from the Republic of Moldova.
